Well well well....looks like blog is not a core elphinstonian trait but I wll not give up.....atleast yet ;).
This weekend Amyt was in town...wearing his blazer and gving gyaan to the grads of a certain school n Pune. Met up with Amyt and Fazan Lal on Saturday night.. caught up with Lajee n flesh...although I have not seen him in 18 years he is recognizable. We could hardly meet him for 10 mins but let stake baby steps and get him acclimatzed to us ;). He has a cute ...very cute daughter after the intial inhibitions she came along just fine and bid us farewell with a couple of roses...what a sweetheart.
And then on Sunday inght..get a call from Amyt and guess what, he was enjoying drinks with Maxim Cuto...talked to Maxim and exchanged a few civilities and will bump into him the next time I am in town....which as of now is not scheduled.

Also to know what happened to Salims Tandoori chicken...please find out about it on facebook;).

Voice from the Past

Faizan just buzzed me at work and it turn out the ass stays right opposite my workplace....hmm I know where to go for lunch and siesta now. The dude is busy has hell with his startup...hopefully I will run into him one of these days when I go for my chai at the tapri across my workplace.

The place Kobe's Hill Road Bandra. The people in flesh Salim, sonia, shahrukh 'bawa' dordi,amyt,Sunil Lahane, me
n neeraj on the phone. It was nice meeting up n reminiscing
of historical events;).
Shahrukh graced the occasion surprising most of us n was
Flying to Singapore this evening. Added flavor with his colorful language;-)
and of course the dudes put on weight n balding (sorry bro just could not miss the barren patch ;))
Sal n Son were a bit under the weather but glad u guys made it n of course for
sharing who was going out with whom n when ;). These guys have not changed a bit, look the same.
Sunil..updated with all the controversies during the eclair queen and rose queen days and that he could be always found at the cafeteria...eligible for Elphis Catering degree ;)
Amyt was his usual humorous self with quite a few kilos
added to his personality n of course a big thank u for
organizing this, could not have made it this far.
So guys this is just the beginning let this continue n let the
good times roll.
It was so well worth the trip from Pune to the 'city'.

Amyt:The last number I had of Maxim was: +91---------. This is 2 years old -- don't know if he is still using it.

[khare/Sonia] I hesitate putting my number up for misuse and spammers ;). I do understand smoke signals so anyone that needs to contact me ;). In any case its ---------. And yes I am currently single.

[all] I am in Pune right now working for this company called S-0ne (financial software mumbo jumbo), though I have been here for a year and half only. Anyone in the area don't hesitate to call and we can explore the city together;) .

Hi guys!I was overjoyed to see a blog with our names in it (almost felt like a celebrity!)Where is everybody and what’s happening in your lives?! Nerissa in newzealand? Last I knew she was in the middle east somewhere J how are you doing nerry? And Amit…sorry Amyt… cool numerology there… still on your veg spree? Wassup man? Sonia and me are doing fine. I am back from my 2 year stint in Africa doing a sabbatical and commodities trading, which was a major diversification from my technology career. (I was earlier into visual design and rich media communications…from there to a trader..no actually an African baniya! Right now we are on our way (hopefully by October 08) to Mississauga, Canada. Sonia is with HSBC and getting a job transfer there and I am basically tagging along as a house husband! We have a great kid called saahir-11 yrs…and he is my current source of inspiration and entertainment! So when and hows the reunion happening? Man..its has been ages since I heard from the people on this blog. Hats off to Bhatia - you have been one hell of a resourceful blogger to get all of us connected.

Elphi days seem a lifetime ago -- I remember doing TP in the alcoves, eating kilos of potato-omelet's in the milk bar and copying in the maths exams from Murtuza. This was followed by our after college beer drinking sessions at Mondi's (we graduated to Gokul -- but that's another story reserved for another blog). I do remember all of us being at our best behaviour at Nerrisa's birthday party at her home (if I remember well, she used to stay next to one of our English prof's) -- Lawrence what are you doing in New Zealand??.

The world is a small place though and I have bumped into 2 guys from Elphi here in Kuwait -- one is Sampat the guy who used to manage the Elphi canteen he now manages a bunch of restaurants. Another is Parker (I forget his first name), I bumped into him at an ATM a year back. He works for DHL -- I will fish out his card and invite him to this blog.

And ohh yessss, Chhil, before I left Mumbai, I met Swaroop, she works for HPCL and the first thing she asked me was if I was in touch with you and had your number -- so dude you know who you have to absolutely get in touch with.
